Information Regarding Transfer Applicants
Students who are not based at Marsteller may apply to attend the MSSP at Marsteller as a transfer if they are designated to attend the following middle schools by residence: Bull Run, Gainesville, Parkside, Reagan, Stonewall, Nokesville K-8, and Benton (if Brentsville or Osbourn Park are designated high schools). Consult the Prince William County Schools website under "How Do I Find?" and select "Find Your School"
The Math/Science Specialty Program...
...is an interest-based program where we provide students with opportunities to explore in-depth mathematical and scientific concepts while developing their critical thinking skills.
...follows the Virginia SOLs and the Prince William County curriculum (same curriculum, but because the students have a high interest, you can go broader and deeper into the topics.)
...groups high interest students together for science instruction.
...expects students to meet academic and behavioral standards (no grades less than a "C" and no "U"s in conduct or work habits)
Prince William County Schools Middle School Specialty Program Information Nights
Information nights are scheduled at Kelly Leadership Center on Monday and Tuesday October 12 and 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. for interested families. Each night will feature a short power point presentation about the opportunities for middle school students in the county. Representatives from each specialty program school will be available in the atrium for questions.
